Country born and raised in the small town of Kingman, KS, Kevin Fairchild is living out the story of a classic country song. There's no doubt that country music lit a fire in his soul at an early age, beginning with his Grandma playing the piano for him when he was a small boy. His uncle Jim continued to fuel the fire, showing Kevin his first guitar chords when he was a teenager. and so his story of country music began.
As the lead singer and rhythm guitar player of various bands, Kevin has been entertaining audiences since the mid 90's and has shared the stage with country music greats such as Toby Keith, Restless Heart, and Marty Stewart, just to name a few. Calling on his many experiences and natural leadership abilities, Kevin was responsible for bringing the band Turnback Creek together. Accepting the challenge to play lead guitar, Kevin set the standard for working hard to achieve his goals. Through his drive to succeed and love of performing live music, Kevin continues to develop the mold for success that Turnback Creek continues to enjoy today. With the shared chemistry of the group, true friendship, God-given talent, and unconditional support of his fellow band members, he continues to humbly and steadily carry the leadership torch.
When Kevin is not playing on the stage, you can likely find him on the dirt roads of Kingman County doing the things that make him happy. Whether it be runnin' coon hounds by moonlight into the wee hours of the morning or feeding the cows on the farm, Kevin is the epitome of the hard working, hard playing American country boy. He is a man of few words and like a true cowboy, lets his actions do the talking. Together with the love and support of his wife Shanon and family, Kevin genuinely enjoys every aspect of his rural American life.
Every day Kevin is reminded of the blessings that music brings into his life and he is greatly appreciative of his family, his supporters (fans), and his band. Most importantly, he is grateful of the opportunities and abilities that God has given him that allow him to live out his passion for music.
